Trip to the Bryan Museum in Galveston
UTHRO members can take a bus trip to the Bryan Museum in Galveston on Thursday, March 19. The museum is located in the historic Galveston Orphans Home, an exquisite Renaissance Revival-style building. It is dedicated to the settlement of the American West. It houses 12,000 years of historical artifacts and artwork, such as Pre-Columbian stone points, beautiful horse saddles, a Civil War violin, an amazing ship model, and a Conquistador helmet. Afterwards, we will have lunch at Joe's Crab Shack on the Seawall on your own dime.
Bus will leave OCB promptly at 10:00 AM and return around 3:00 PM. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
RSVP to Barry Rittman at barryrittman@gmail.com or 713-542-8108 by March 12. Cost is $14 per person. Send a check made out to UTHRO to Margaret Zambrano, 20903 Imperial Ridge Ln, Spring, TX 77379.
