Bus Trip to Brady's Landing and the Houston Ship Channel Tour
April 23, 2014
This is a 90-minute unforgettable tour of one of the world's busiest ports on a free public tour boat, the M/V Sam Houston, named after the legendary military commander who led the fight for Texas independence. The tour takes you from the Turning Basin to the 610 bridge and you'll see many international cargo vessels and industry close-up from the comfort of AC lounge seating or, in case of cooler temperatures, a heated interior. Due to increased security measures, you will have to sign up quickly so we can send the list of attendees to the Port Authority a week before the cruise.
There is a limited amount of space available, so sign up now and guarantee your spot!
Boarding time for the bus at OCB is 10:00 a.m.
The tour will start at the famed Brady's Landing Restaurant in a beautiful room overlooking the fabulous Houston Ship Channel. Lunch will cost $21.00 per person. This is a pre-paid event so make your check payable to UTHRO and mail it to: Barbara Kelly, Treasurer, UTHRO, 15714 Barbarossa, Houston, TX 77083.
At 1:30 p.m. the bus will bring us to the dock to board the boat for a 2:30 p.m. departure. IMPORTANT: Be sure to bring a valid ID, such as a driver's license, in order to board the tour boat.
