UTHRO 2026 Calendar of Annual Activities (Subject to change)
January - Bingo for the Endowment. On January 21st from 11 AM-2:30 PM we will play bingo to raise money for our Endowment on Aging. A light lunch will be provided for lunch, along with dessert and drinks. The cost will be $10 per person for lunch. Please RSVP and prepay for the lunch by January 14. February - Meet at the Guadalajara Mexican Grille this February 11 at 11 AM for a Valentine's Lunch with your loved ones and UTHRO friends. Pay for your own lunch. Please RSVP by February 4th to Janice Thomas by email to [email protected] . The grill is at 2925 SW Freeway between Kirby and Buffalo Speedway.
March - Bus trip to Schulenburg to see the Painted Churches on March 24. Bus will leave OCB at 9 AM and return around 3 PM. We will have lunch at the Oak Ridge Smokehouse. Prepaid cost is $18. Lunch is on your own. RSVP by March 17.
April - Meet at Saltgrass in Meyerland Plaza on April 7th at 11 AM to eat and visit with your UTHRO friends. RSVP by March 31st.
May - A Cinco de Mayo luncheon was planned, playing Loteria, but was canceled due to possible flooding in the area.
June - Bus trip to the Moody Mansion with lunch at Katie's Seafood Restaurant on June 10th.
July - Bingo for the Endowment on July 22nd. Come have some fun and help raise money for our Endowment. Time is 11 AM until 2:30 PM in the Rio Grande Room in the OCB. A light lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Janice Thomas by email at [email protected] . Cost will be $10/person payable to our Treasurer, Sondra Faul.
